Tshepo 500 000 (meaning Hope), is an intervention by the Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) aimed at creating entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for 500 000 unemployed youth, woman and people with disabilities over the next three years. These opportunities will comprise of jobs within the private sector and public sector, internships and entrepreneurial opportunities as well as mentorship.
The programme is delivered through partnerships between Provincial Government, Local Government, State Owned Enterprises, Private Sector and Institutions of Higher Learning.
The programme will focus on the following identifiable interventions, with links to other development programmes of the Gauteng Provincial Government.
