2. MatchMaking Africa Networks

The MatchMaking Africa (MMA) Network provides an exciting and effective Business Platform to facilitate and promote business matchmaking between South Africa and other African countries.
Business Matchmaking in Africa is facilitated by means of:

  • Quarterly network sessions whereby different African Countries are invited to present relevant business opportunities to like-minded business in South Africa;
  • Representation by Key Role-players such as the Department of Trade and Industry, Export Councils, Tshwane Economic Development Agency and various African Embassies;
  • Practical support and assistance to businesses planning to expand into Africa via our Team of experts and in partnerships with Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) and Barclays Africa.

MatchMaking Africa is driven by the Capital City Business Chamber (CCBC) in conjunction with African Embassies and National Chamber Bodies such as SACCI and the SBi.

3. Sector Specific Networks



3.1 Manufacturers Network

The CCBC realises the importance of Economic Growth per Business Sector and in 2017 began with the establishment of a Bi-Monthly Manufacturers Network in Rosslyn in conjunction with the Automotive Industry Development Centre (AIDC).  This platform includes all manufacturers within the capital city.

3.2 Property Development & Infrastructure Forum

A platform has been established by the CCBC to engage with the City of Tshwane Municipality and other controlling authorities within the land development sector, with the following objectives:

  • To develop and advance collaborative and reciprocal dialogue with Tshwane in an atmosphere of mutual respect, to address institutional and procedural challenges, to unlock property development opportunities and expedite implementation of development processes;
  • To improve the investment attractiveness of Tshwane to stimulate economic growth and socio-economic development;
  • To retain investment and position Tshwane competitively, despite an ever-changing economic climate and legislative environment, and…
  • To provide a networking platform between businesses within the Property Development, Infrastructure- and Construction Sector operating within Tshwane.
4. CitiExec

A Quarterly Platform established for engagement between Business Leaders, the Executive Mayor and the Mayoral Team. The CitiExec:

  • Is a platform where Critical issues affecting the development of the City’s economy as well as the “ease of doing business” in the City are constructively addressed;
  • It enables the combined Buy-in by all Decision Makers on the Future and Direction of the Capital City;
  • Is the “much needed” Executive Platform where Professionalism, Transparency and Integrity prevails, and…
  • Is a platform to enable effective Public Private Partnerships (PPP’s).
